Xtep Xiamen Huandong Half Marathon 2024

Registration Notice

1.Basic information

(1) Event Date

December 22nd, 2024 (Sunday), 7:30 a.m.

(2) Event Items and Scale

a. Half marathon, 20,000 runners.

b. 5km Happy Run, 5,000 runners.

(3) Start

a. The event will start in separate zones. Further instructions will be given based on supplementary notice. 

b. The 5km Happy Run begin when the starting pistol shots.

(4) Event Course

The starting point is set at Meifeng Sports Park, Xiamen Huandong Sea Area, and the endpoint is set at Lvyin Port.

The specific route: Meifeng Sports Park (starting point) → Tefang Portman Seven Stars Bay Hotel & Resort → Jindu Haishang International → Bauhinia Night Run Park (5km end point) → Bingzhou Waterfront → Putou Festival Garden → Fantawild Dreamland (10km) → Shixun Yiren Garden → Minshi Garden → Yumian Bay → Lvyin Port (endpoint)

2.Event details

(1) Registration start time: August 29th, 2024, 10:00 AM

(2) Registration cut-off time: October 25th, 2024, 10:00 AM 

(3) Entry qualification time: November 1st, 2024, for unsuccessful contestants, the registration fee will be fully refunded within 10 working days. 

(4) Entry number time: November 20th, 2024

(5) Pick-up time: December 20th-21st, 2024  

(6) Participation is limited to the individual registrant; slots are non-transferable.

(7) Registration process will determine participation eligibility either directly or through a drawing based on the number of applicants. Once participation is confirmed, no refunds will be issued.

(8) Participants under the age of 18 must present a consent form signed by their guardian when picking-up time to receive them.

(9) Registrants must provide accurate personal information. The organizing committee will verify the authenticity of the information, and any falsification will result in disqualification from the Xtep Xiamen Huandong Half Marathon 2024.

3.Registration Information

(1)Age Requirements

a. Half marathon: All participants shall be at least 18 (born before December 31st, 2006, or before).

b. 5km Happy Run: All participants shall be at least 8 (born before December 31st, 2016, or before). Participants under 18 must have a consent certificate signed by their guardian or legal representative before they can receive the race Packet. Participants under 16 must register with their guardian or legal representative and be accompanied by the same race.

(2) Physical Requirements

Marathon is an athletic sport of high load and great intensity over long distances. It is also a high-risk athletic sport which has high physical demands on contestants. Those who wish to participate in the Marathon shall be in healthy condition with long-term experiences in long-distance running.  

Anyone who has any of the following diseases is prohibited from the race:

a. Congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease.

b. Hypertension and cerebrovascular disease.

c. Myocarditis and other heart diseases.

d. Coronary artery disease and server irregular heartbeat.

e. Diabetes.

f. Having cold symptoms two weeks prior to the race.

g. Pregnant.

h. Infectious diseases.

i. Drinking lots of hard alcohol or lack of sleep the night before the race.

j. Other diseases which are not suitable for sports.

(3) Registration Method

a.The scale of the half marathon is 20,000 people. When the number of applicants exceeds the capacity, the qualifications will be determined by the draw selection.

b.The scale of the 5km Happy Run is 5,000 people. Registration is on a first come first served basis. No need for the draw selection. Registration will be closed when full.

d.Group registration is not accepted.

e.Qualification for direct entry into the race:

(a)Professional athletes registered by the Chinese Athletics Association;

(b)Top participants invited by the organizing committee;

(c)Sponsor quota.

f.Participants to be rejected from registration:

(a)Under suspension penalty by CAA for violating relevant event rules.

(b)Under suspension penalty by the organizing committee for violating relevant rules.

(4)Registration Fee

a.Half Marathon: CNY￥160/person；

b.5km Happy Run: CNY￥80/person；

c.Race packet shall not be given and the registration fee shall not be refunded to those who have received the race qualification but incapable of participation.

4. Pick-up time: December 20 to 21. Please refer to the 《Instructions for Packet Pick-up for Xtep Xiamen Huandong Half Marathon 2024".

5. The organizing committee of the Xiamen Huangdong Half Marathon reserves the right to interpret the regulations. This notice is subject to this release. Further notice will be given for unmentioned issues.
